Today, we celebrate the dads, grandpas, mentors, brothers and father figures who taught us far more than how to hunt, fish, or survive in the outdoors.
They taught us patience when things didn’t go as planned.
They taught us grit when the mountain got steep.
They taught us respect, for wildlife, for ourselves, and for the people around us.
Some of my favorite memories aren’t about the animal at the end of the hunt. They’re about the conversations around camp, the early mornings, the long hikes, and the people who shared them with me.
Whether you’re spending today with family, remembering someone who helped shape your life, or introducing the next generation to the outdoors, I hope you take a moment to appreciate those experiences and the people behind them.
