Made my first trip of the season and first hunting trip with the goats this past weekend. I never saw anything legal to shoot, but it was a great trip away from the heat and it’s been on my list of hunts to do for quite a few years now. Finally made it happen and can’t wait to get back and try again. The deer are small and like ghosts in and out of the fog with just small windows of glassing. With grass and brush taller than them I was hoping to catch some antler tips poking above it, but never did. I saw quite a few deer just not the buck I was hoping for.
